Charlie Snow

Director/Founder
Senior Lomilomi Practitioner
Lomilomi Teacher

Ho'oponopono Practitioner

Essence Dance Facilitator

Location: Ocean Shores, Byron Bay Shire, NSW

(Bundjalung Country)

Pronouns: they/them

Charlie is a Wodi Wodi person from the Illawarra area of NSW.

Charlie also identifies as māhū, which is a Hawaiian term for someone who “walks in the middle” of the gender spectrum. Thus Charlie uses the pronouns ‘they/them’ because they do not see themselves as female or male, but rather as somewhere in the middle. This brings a unique perspective and energy to Charlie's work, and enables them to work tangibly with yin and yang energies, or, as some say, the feminine and masculine.

Charlie's intent is to provide opportunities for people to live their own truth — encouraging us all to come into our true individual and collective power with passion, integrity and honesty... to be creators of a world that we actively choose to live in rather than accepting limitations that have been chosen for us.

Charlie has been honoured to share Hawaiian Lomilomi massage since 2003, and has worked with thousands of clients for almost two decades. Charlie continues to train with Hawaiian elders in Lomilomi, Ho'oponopono, Aloha and Hawaiian culture, and teaches Lomilomi with permission from Kiliwelu Kamaka Iki Ali'i Pa'akaula Kamoa Kamoa (better known as Papa K).

Charlie's teaching style and sessions are deeply nurturing, strong and clear. Charlie works with people of all genders and is able to hold space for people of all different backgrounds and lived experiences.

If you would like to speak with Charlie directly about their individual sessions and/or training courses, please phone 0421 242 467

Location: Lismore, NSW

(Bundjalung Country)

Pronouns: she/her

I was born and raised on Aniaiwan and Kamilaroi country in Armidale and now reside in the Bundjalung nation, in Lismore. I grew up closely with indigenous culture and have a strong passion for ancient and traditional healing arts from all over the world. Lomilomi and Hawaiian teachings has felt like a coming home to me and I have personally received deep nurturing healing through the spirit of Aloha and Lomilomi, I feel very blessed I can share it with others.

I first completed Charlie’s Spiritual Lomilomi training in 2016 and again in 2021. For the last 15 years I have worked with disadvantaged youth, people with disabilities and mental health. I have studied energy healing modalities such as Reiki and Life Alignment techniques and have Naturopathic foundations in Herbal medicine, Homeopathy and Nutrition.

I offer a deeply safe, nurturing and heart centred space. Sacred Lomilomi massage is designed to raise the vibration of the receiver, moving the body back into a state of harmony, happiness and gratitude. Each session has a strong connection to spirit, through Pule (prayer) and Aloha (loving universal energy).  I am continuously humbled at the profound effects Lomilomi can have.

There is no rush to deep relaxation and connection with your body.

From the setting of intentions and awareness of a person's needs, to the Hour and a Half receiving lomilomi, to the warm shower and the herbal tea as you bring yourself back and into a new peace.

This is what I offer, and I devote my energy to the giving so this may happen.

I hold a safe space for all people including LGBTIQ+ folk and vulnerable minorities.

All body types and genders are welcome.

Many deep emotions and trauma can be felt and released with Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi massage and I honour and nurture your experience.

The massage is an all of body massage with discreet covering, excluding nipples and genitals. The massage moves from long and gentle strokes to short and strong strokes and to detailed and fine movements in flow with the music, along with gentle stretches, using coconut oil in a warm room in a beautiful space.

Barbara Swiatkiwsky

Lomilomi Practitioner

Location: Swami’s Yoga Retreat, The Hills Shire, Sydney NSW
(Dharug Country)

Pronouns: she/her

Although I am a newly qualified Lomilomi practitioner, graduating from the Blisstitute of Living Aloha in October 2022, I have been in business as a bodyworker for more than 20 years.

I’ve taught 100s of students anatomy and physiology plus massage and Bowen Therapy techniques. In 2013 I started a group in Melbourne for Queer therapists which provides peer support, with a focus on encouraging all therapists who identify under the ‘queer’ banner to be visible within our community.

Currently I’m on a grand adventure. During Covid lockdown in Melbourne, I decided to give up my home based practice in West Preston, downsize to fit my stuff into my Getz, and hit the road to see what it would be like to have no fixed address.

You can often find me volunteering and living at Swami’s Yoga Retreat, north-west of Sydney NSW. It’s a wonderful property and when you come here for a Lomilomi, I encourage you to book a half day retreat so you can also enjoy a beautiful vegan lunch, our pool and steam room, bush walking trails and yoga classes.

I have a car and a massage table, so it may also be possible for me to come to you.

Please reach out to me by texting 0404 861 595:

Is it possible that Lomilomi chooses you rather than you choose Lomilomi?

For as long as I can remember Iʻve always wanted to work with people and their bodies - to shift how we see ourselves through connection and bodywork.

My bodywork journey began over 12 years ago in high care disability where I had the privilege of supporting people with variations in age, body types and physical abilities. This work has been paramount in my confidence and comfortability with the physical body and human connection.

Since graduating from The Blisstitute of Living Aloha I now have a massage and intuitive bodywork practice called Body Rites, a body inclusive space where I can work with people and their bodies... Lomilomi thank you for choosing me!

I have also completed training in, The Four Seasons Shamanic Womancraft Journey by Jane Hardwick Collings and the Urban Tantra Professional Training program by Barbara Carellas.

ʻConnection, Breathe work and Self... the biggest link in all these trainingsʻ.  Body Rites has recently closed down, and was located on Darug and Gundugurra Country (Blue Mountains)

Nicole Newton

Lomilomi Practitioner

Location: Berorwa, Sydney NSW
(Traditional land of the Dharug & Guringai people)

Pronouns: she/her

As a practitioner of embodiment, energetic healing and sacred bodywork, I support people to embody their most authentic expressions, guiding them on healing journeys back to wholeness. My approach is gentle, non-judgemental, empathic and of utmost integrity.

I recognise that my body is a Sacred Temple and therefore, so is everyone else’s. In my Lomilomi practice, my intention is for Mana (life force energy) to gently flow through me with every word, touch, breath, movement and sound; to and for whomever I’m working with, with grace and Aloha (unconditional love).

When you receive touch from me, you experience a ritual of Aloha (unconditional love), a prayer in motion, allowing you physical, spiritual and emotional nurturing. Whatever is going on for you in your life, is welcome on the table and I tailor your massage to suit your individual needs. The invitation is to let go, receive and return to equilibrium.

I’m honoured to be a transmission of Aloha in this way and am continually inspired by loving connection, specifically when witnessing another bask in the glow of receiving the gift of Lomilomi.

Since graduating from the Blisstitute of Living Aloha in 2022, I have been inspired to continue with Hawaiian teachings so I can further cultivate the Aloha way of being, building a solid and unshakeable foundation. This will continue to enrich my life, guide my truth and deepen the healing Lomilomi experience on offer for my clients.   When not immersed in this healing work, I delight in enjoying the abundance of nature that surrounds my cottage in Sydney and the love I share with my sons.
