Professional Codes of Conduct

​

As a Blisstitute Practitioner, you are a representative of The Blisstitute of Living Aloha.
All practitioners offering Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage (SHLM) are required to uphold these Professional Codes of Conduct at all times:

​

• Clear Boundaries:
  You set and communicate clear boundaries for each SHLM session. Clients are reminded that they have full autonomy over their body and their own boundaries at all times.​

• Trauma-Informed Practice:
  You work in trauma-informed ways that prioritise the emotional and physical safety of every client.​

• Inclusive Language:
  You use inclusive, respectful language that supports all types of bodies to receive safely and with aloha.​

• Client Suitability:
  You maintain a smooth and transparent booking process, ensuring that clients who book with you are a good match for what you offer (SHLM).​

• Professional Attire:
  You wear appropriate clothing when giving sessions (tops for everyone; no cleavage or upper thighs showing).​

• Draping:
  You always use a sarong for draping—no exceptions, regardless of client requests.​

• Cancellation Policy:
  You maintain and communicate a clear cancellation policy to all clients.​

• Current Practice Listing:
  If you are no longer offering SHLM sessions, you agree to inform The Blisstitute so your website listing can be temporarily removed.
  (You are always welcome to rejoin the directory at any time.)

Non-Compliance Procedure 

​

If a practitioner is not working in accordance with these codes of conduct:

​

• Charlie Snow will contact the practitioner to discuss the matter.

• A temporary suspension from the Blisstitute website listing may be applied.

• The practitioner will be given the opportunity to make things pono (right).

• If things are not made pono, the practitioner’s listing will be permanently removed from the website.

Subscription Information 

(This system began in June 2025 and may expand over time)

​

Cost: $100 full price or $50 concession per year

​

Annual Payment:

All practitioners renew by the end of January each year.

​

Pro Rata for New Joiners:

New members pay a pro-rata fee based on the number of months remaining in the calendar year.
