Our Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage Training is a life-changing journey.

 

First-time participants leave with an extraordinary set of skills to share with friends, family, or to lay the foundation for a professional practice. For experienced bodywork practitioners, it brings new depth, connection and insight, transforming the way you work.

This training offers more than technique — it opens a window to Hawaiian Wisdom, inviting you to see yourself and the world through the lens of aloha — unconditional love.

Students return again and again to this 6-day experience, drawn by the opportunity to connect deeply with themselves, expand their practice, and be part of a nurturing community of Aloha Warriors.

The only prerequisite is having received at least one authentic Lomilomi massage. No prior experience giving massage is required — this training welcomes people of all levels. Our courses provide an inclusive space for all genders, sexualities, and cultures, teaching the art of massaging every body with awareness, respect, and heartfelt care.

During the course you will be immersed in the art of Lomilomi:​

• 6-days of being fully held in a safe and supportive container with like-minded people

• Hawaiian wisdom & how this relates to bodywork

• Skills to give a full 90 min Lomilomi massage

• Supporting your client pre and post massage

• Giving AND receiving Lomilomi (participants practice on each other)

• How to look after yourself as a Lomilomi giver

• How to work with people from diverse backgrounds including LGBTIQA+ folk, with deep care & inclusive language

• How to hold space for people when trauma comes up in a session

• Ha (breath work) for giving & receiving Lomilomi

• Pule (Hawaiian prayer) and its significance in Lomilomi

• Oli (Hawaiian chanting) and how this increases your mana (natural connection to source energy)

• How to choose aloha in your life

• Creating Pa'a (an unshakeable foundation) within yourself, so that you are Mākaukau (ready) to give Lomilomi in any capacity you choose after the training

• How to share this work in the world; including professional codes of conduct and promotion

About the teacher

Charlie Snow (they/them) is a Wodi Wodi person and has been honoured to share Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage since 2003. Charlie teaches with permission from respected Hawaiian Elder Kumu La'au Lapa'au Sylvester Kiliwelu Kamaka Iki Ali'i Pa'akaula Kamoa Kamoa (better known as Papa K). Charlie is the founder of The Blisstitute of Living Aloha and teaches all of our current trainings, whilst continuing to train with Hawaiian Kūpuna (Elders) and Kūmu (teachers) in various aspects of Lomilomi, Ho'oponopono, Paʻa, Aloha and Hawaiian culture.

Small class size

The Blissstitute is committed to honouring the sacredness of these teachings through small class sizes, with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 participants in each training. This ensures students have ample opportunity to practise their skills while receiving high-quality, personalised guidance. Our 6-day trainings have one teacher and one assistant, providing attentive support for every participant.

Accreditation

Upon successful completion of this training, you will be awarded a Student Certificate which allows you to offer sessions to your friends/family, and to charge as a practising student. This training is approved by IICT (International Institute of Complimentary Therapists), and allows students to join IICT and gain insurance.

*Please note that we always do our best to finish on time, but given the nature of the training and the content needing to be covered, combined with the shifts that can occur in the training, occasionally we may run a little over time 🌈 QLD courses - the first day is the same time as listed above, and the longer five days start and end 30 mins earlier 🌈

Scholarships

Partial scholarship placements are available in each training/workshop for any Mob, and for anyone who identifies as gender diverse and/or trans and is also in financial need. Please contact us to discuss this if you would like to apply for one of these places.

Returning students

Anyone who has completed a Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage training with The Blisstitute of Living Aloha is welcome to return to do a full 6 day foundational training to deepen their knowledge and practice. A discount of 50% off the full fee is offered to returning students, and places are limited for each course.

ROOTED IN EXPERIENCE & LINEAGE

 

Charlie Snow, founder of The Blisstitute of Living Aloha, has been walking the path of Lomilomi since 2003. Their training journey has included studying with teachers in Australia as well as with Kūpuna (Elders) and Kūmu (teachers) in Hawaiʻi, learning not only massage techniques but also Hawaiian spirituality and culture.

 

Charlie has worked with Lomilomi Massage, Ka Huna Bodywork, and Heartworks Lomi Lomi in Australia. This broad foundation has allowed them to refine their teaching and share the essence of Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage with depth and integrity. Charlie teaches with the blessing and permission of respected Hawaiian Elder Kumu Laʻau Lapaʻau Sylvester Keiliwaliu Kamaka Iki Aliʻi Paʻakaula Kamoa Kepilino (Papa K) which is the pono (culturally respectful and appropriate) way to share this sacred work.
