There is a Hawaiian saying:
“ʻAʻohe pau ka ʻike i ka hālau hoʻokahi.”
All knowledge is not taught in one school.
We honour this wisdom deeply. Every Lomilomi school and every teacher carries their own unique gifts. Each one contributes to the weaving of healing into the world, and we bow in respect to them all.
So, why walk this path with us?
Rooted in Experience & Lineage
Charlie Snow, founder of The Blisstitute of Living Aloha, has been walking the path of Lomilomi since 2003. Over two decades, Charlie’s journey has unfolded through study with teachers in Australia and with Kūpuna (Elders) and Kūmu (teachers) in Hawaiʻi. This path has been about much more than massage—it has been a journey into the spiritual, cultural, and ancestral wisdom that flows through Lomilomi.
Charlie’s foundation includes training in Lomilomi Massage, Ka Huna Bodywork, and Heartworks Lomi Lomi. This broad base has allowed them to distill the essence of Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage, refining it into a teaching that is rich, accessible, and deeply aligned with Hawaiian values.
Most importantly, Charlie shares this work with the blessing and permission of Kumu Laʻau Lapaʻau Sylvester Keiliwaliu Kamaka Iki Aliʻi Paʻakaula Kamoa Kepilino (Papa K), a respected Hawaiian Elder. This blessing ensures that the teachings are shared in a pono way—culturally respectful, spiritually grounded, and held with integrity.
More Than Massage
Our trainings are not simply about learning techniques.
They are about remembering a way of living.
Through the teachings, you will learn:
How to give Lomilomi with skill, presence, and heart
How to walk the path of Aloha—a path of unconditional love and compassion
How to use pule (prayer) to connect with Akua (Spirit) in your practice and in your life
How to meet people of all backgrounds, including LGBTIQA+ folk, with deep care, inclusive language, and cultural sensitivity
Lomilomi is not something you do—it is something you become. It is the embodiment of Spirit moving through your hands and your life.
Ongoing Support
When you train with The Blisstitute, you are not stepping into a single course—you are joining a living, supportive ʻOhana (family).
Our commitment to you doesn’t end with your first training. Nor does it require paying for endless “levels.” Instead, we invite you into a circle of ongoing connection:
An active Lomilomi ʻOhana across the unceded lands of East Coast Australia
Regular online gatherings for continued learning, reflection, and professional growth
Mentoring and Paʻa Counselling with Charlie for guidance on your personal and professional path
The chance to return to our 6-day trainings at 50% of the cost, to refresh and deepen your practice
Open invitations to attend introductory training days as often as you wish, to reconnect with Hawaiian wisdom and community
Refresher days and weekends offered upon request, to nourish your hands, heart, and spirit
This is how we grow together—not in isolation, but in community.
Walking the Path of Aloha
To choose training with The Blisstitute of Living Aloha is to say yes to more than a skill.
It is an initiation into:
Living Aloha as a guiding principle of love and respect
Walking with Spirit in your hands, heart, and life
Carrying forward the healing traditions of Lomilomi with integrity, humility, and devotion
Here, you don’t just learn to give a beautiful massage—you learn to live a beautiful life, aligned with the wisdom of Hawaiʻi and guided by the call of Aloha.
